Hudson River Valley Art Workshops

Our mission at the Hudson River Valley Art Workshops is to provide students the opportunity to develop their skills and vision by bringing them together with today's top professional teachers in an environment that is uniquely inspiring.

The Carriage House Studio is a spacious facility surrounded by extensive gardens, lawns, and woods. Greenville Arms 1889 Inn has been home to the Workshops since 1982, and provides lodging, delicious food and a comfortable setting.

The Hudson River Valley Art Workshops' all-in-one environment encourages everyone to relax, focus on their creativity, and get to know one another. Meals are enjoyed together, class size is limited, and the Studio is open 24 hours a day. The schedule of instructors changes annually, to provide a diverse, exciting choice.

Go to the Instructor's Artwork page to see examples of the work of the teachers at Hudson River Valley Art Workshops in 2009.

To learn more about our programs, just fill in the Information Request Form. We'll send you our full-color brochure. If you are ready to enroll, you can view and print an Enrollment form.

Hudson River Valley Art Workshops also has a full schedule of art workshops on oil painting, watercolors, pastels, acrylics, and collage.

Here's what some of the people who have experienced our workshops have to say: What an amazing venue for workshops, creating and peace. The food is incredible, I can't say enough about the whole experience. You rock!!” – Kathyanne White ‘10

The meals were all excellent. I was amazed (and grateful) at your abilibity to adjust your menus to special diets. Thank you. – Diane Serber ‘09

This is my fourth workshop here. I have loved each one. I hope to be able to return again. The inn and the grounds are just beautiful. A lovely place to spend a week. – Audrey Sacher ‘10
