Katie Pasquini Masopust has won numerous awards throughout her career and is the author of several books, including Fractured Landscapes, and Ghost Layers and Color Washes. She is also the current president of the Studio Art Quilt Association, an international organization that promotes quilts as art.

The goal of this workshop is to discover new ways of creating to help you develop your own style through creative exploration. Each morning, Katie leads readings and discussion on many styles of creativity, inspiration, art, adversity, and soul to get your artistic energy flowing. The rest of the day is spent on intense exploration of color, line, shape, value, transparency, and composition. She also teaches you about “seeing” and drawing, proportion, viewing paths, cropping, and zooming in. Work with 9 different color schemes, including monochromatic, analogous, and complimentary.

There is an additional materials fee of $75.00, paid directly to the instructor, for a kit that includes all the fabric needed for the class (fused and ready to use).
