Which came first – the beadwork or the quilt?  This workshop will explore the possibilities of both approaches, and students will have the opportunity to try them out.  Each approach has it’s own virtues and challenges, and we will cover design (both of the beadwork and the quilt), structural techniques, and the ins-and-outs of fused appliqué and beadwork as it relates to quilting.  Even if you have never tried beading on a quilt before, bring your sense of adventure along, and watch the ideas start popping.
