From Photo to Landscape Quilt

If you have ever wondered how that magnificent photo you took can translate into a landscape quilt, this is the workshop for you.

Day 1 will be photo selection, rough sketching, and fabric selection. Day 2 will be composition, and Day 3 will be quilting the finished top. Working on canvas, we will use direct applique methods using fusibles—there is no piecing involved.  

This is a great, fast, way to get an idea down and into the machine quickly. Drawing skills are not needed for this class but the ability to overcome fear of new techniques is a must. This is a fast moving and dynamic class that takes a photo, simplifies and abstracts it and turns it into a dynamite quilt. Students should be comfortable with free-motion quilting.
